Lots of Updates

So, as usual, it has been a while since I updated everyone. Things have been going very well for us, but we have definitely been busy. Bill has been spending almost every day at a different plant and has been out of town last week and this week. I have been slaving away in the lab, trying to get as much data together as possible in hopes of having my first committee meeting and publication by the end of the year, but now that's not looking very likely. Please keep praying for me, because I feel like every time I take a step forward in my research, I wind up two steps backwards.

This summer, a friend of my mom gave us a couple of Sea Doos. Bill and his friend Bubba spent many nights getting one of them running. The other is currently in the shop in hopes of getting a cheap fix. We didn't get a chance to take them out much, Bill and Bubba decided to play around on them in the driveway.

Just sitting on them didn't satisfy the boys, so Bill decided to give Bubba some waves.

Last weekend we went to a mystery dinner theater with our Sunday School class. We had a blast. Bill was made for stuff like that. It took me most of the night to get the hang of things, but by then it was too late. Oh well, I guess I will be better at it next time. I forget how competitve Bill is, but I remembered as soon as he slammed a bathroom door into me trying to get a murder weapon. :) The party had a 70s theme, so we did some thrift store shopping and found great outfits.

Bill actually won the costume contest. Our characters were rockstars, so Bill had to show off his air guitar expertise.

We are so blessed to have such a great support system in our Sunday School class! Since joining that class, I can really see how God purposely placed us where we are. We couldn't have dreamed of a greater group of people!!!

On a different note, I have lost a total of 40 pounds. WOW! I am at my dream weight - somewhere I never thought I would be. As the holidays approach, I will definitely be putting my restraint to the test in order to try to stay at the weight I have worked so hard to acheive. I also had my cholesterol re-checked. I am finally back to the normal range!! That means no drugs and hopefully no increased risk for heart attack...assuming I can keep it within the normal range.
