Southern Research Employee Struck by Car on 22nd Street

Greg Potts, well-known to Southside employees because of his duties delivering mail, was struck by a car in front of the Environment and Energy Building (22nd Street) yesterday.
He sustained a serious head injury and some broken bones, and underwent emergency surgery last night. He is currently in serious but stable condition at University Hospital, and his family is with him. Police are continuing to investigate the accident, and as of this morning, we still do not have accurate details regarding the accident, and will not until the police investigation is complete.
Please keep Greg and his family in your thoughts and prayers, and please be careful crossing the streets in and around our campus. We will provide updates as we are aware of them.
