Christmas Cards

After a VERY emotional day at church (I had an emotional breakdown in both the worship service and Sunday School...FUN!), Bill decided to cheer me up by gathering our bunch together to take the second annual Tinsley family photo for our Christmas cards. Christmas has to be my favorite time of year. It is a time of celebrating the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior, as well as time to decorate the house (which we did last weekend), eat lots of sweets, and fellowship with friends and family. I love receiving photo Christmas cards, so last year we began the tradition of doing photo cards ourselves. Even though we don't have any human children, we think of our animals as people and like to include them in the photo so everyone (especially distant friends and family) can see how we're doing. Needless to say, 4 animals is too many for 2 people to handle for a photograph, so, unfortunately, our 2 outdoor kitties were left out of the pictures, but we still love them the same! Here are a few of our attempts at the photos.

Bill and me being sweet and sappy.

One of Winston making his usual face - I just had to zoom in on that. If you have never met my Winston, my mom likes to say he looks like he's had a stroke and I like to say that when God made short snouted dogs, he forgot to make their tongues shorter as well. Needless to say, his tongue almost always hangs out of one side of his mouth.

Winston wanting despirately to chase Aerial, Aerial trying to run away from Winston, Bill trying despirately to hold on to Aerial, and me being very photogenic.

Me not looking too happy (I really don't know why though).

I don't want to ruin the surprise, so I didn't post the picture that made the cut for the Christmas card...you'll have to wait and see! If you are wondering, Winston's shirt says, "Sorry Santa. I ate all your cookies." Bill wouldn't let me get him a Santa costume, but maybe I can sneak one in next year.

If I can go back to being emotional again, I would like to ask everyone to pray for my family. What I was trying to get out in Sunday school this morning was that everyone in my family is in major need of healing, forgiveness, and assurance right now. Thank you all for being such a great support system! I really don't know what Bill and I would do without you.
