Denver Pics - Finally!

So about a month ago, I went to Denver with some folks from my lab for the annual conference held by the American Association of Cancer Research. We had such an awesome time, made great presentations, and learned lots. My laziness is a bit overwhelming at times, but I have finally uploaded the pictures. Here are a few.

We did come for work! Here I am with the poster I presented.

Meghan with her poster and the man who created the software she used to analyze her data (the funny thing is that she thinks it's the worst software ever made).

A company we did some work with held a great reception Sunday night. It was rodeo themed (hence the cowboy hats). Our group - Bernard, Meghan, me, Nancy (Gary's wife), our fearless leader (Gary, a.k.a. Dr. Piazza), and Adam.

Being taught to lasso (by creepy guy- hence the terrified look on my face).

Trying to lasso a calf...I was the closest of the night (of course I was one of the few sober people present).

Gorgeous view of the mountains from the dome of the state capital.

Bernard giving a speech from the steps of the state house :) Actually we went to the capital the day of the Columbine 10 year anniversary. They were preparing to do a memorial and requested Bernard do a mic check. He pretended to be Barak for a minute.

Gary presenting his poster. As usual, he got a lot of interest.

Oops! Apparently Meghan and I can't read :)

Our group on top of Red Rock. The extra people here are Johnny (a scientist from the Hormel Institute with whom we collaborate)and someone from his lab.

A view of the Denver sky line from Red Rocks. It was so beautiful here!
