Bill and I had a very relaxing Memorial Day on Lay Lake. I think that Lay is the most beautiful lake I have ever been to in Alabama. Since it's not very developed, it is very scenic and I couldn't think of a better way to spend Memorial Day. I was reminded how truly blessed we are for so many reasons - to be financially able to afford our boat, to have wonderful friends and family to spend the day with, to be physically capable of enjoying the lake and many water sports, and, most of all, the freedom to do all of these things. Maybe it's because I grew up in a military family, but I have so much respect for the military and everything they do. They give the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that I may enjoy life the way I choose. Even if you do not agree with the politics of a war, recognize that the men and women in uniform are laying their lives on the line every single day for you and for me. Thank you to everyone who has fought for our country, whether it was on the frontlines or sitting behind a desk; I am sincerely grateful.
Bill and his sister, Carol, are very good at water sports, especially skiing. Just when I thought I had seen all of their tricks, they pulled a new one Monday - skiing at the same time...behind the same boat.
Here they are getting going...

Here they are changing sides...

Now they've switched sides...
